Conference Overview

The 13th International Conference on Emerging Technologies (ICET-2017) will be held in Islamabad, on 27-28 December 2017. It will be organized by Capital University of Science & Technology, Islamabad, in association with IEEE Islamabad Section.

Proceedings of ICET 2017 conference will be published and the papers will also be available through IEEE Xplore ®.

IEEE ICET is held every year and ICET 2017 th will be the 13th in the series. It has become a prestigious technical conference with a scope covering new and exciting technologies and research areas, thereby inviting interest of a large audience.

The conference targets research presentations by academic and professional researchers, and also includes invited talks and a series of tutorials enabling participants to learn about the latest trends in technology.

 

Research contributions are expected from the participants, covering various disciplines under IEEE's domain, including technical papers, panel discussions, tutorials and project exhibitions. For all submitted papers, the review criteria include significance of the problem, novelty, clarity, completeness, and accuracy.

Technical papers describing original, previously unpublished work, are solicited in the areas of communications, computers, control, electronics, information technology, power and in the relevant areas of interest

Paper Submission Guidelines

Double-Blind Peer-Review Guidelines
ICET 2017 uses double blind review. This means that neither reviewers know whose paper they are reviewing nor the authors know who is reviewing their paper. This is applied throughout the review process. To facilitate this, authors of ICET 2017 are requested to hide their identify from the content of the paper. There is no need to add authors name in the PDF document. Authors should also make sure that the content of the paper do not contain any reference or hint to their identify.

Formatting Instructions
All accepted papers will be given a maximum length of 6 pages (including figures, tables and references) in the conference proceedings. Please follow the formatting instructions given in the sample paper. Only papers in PDF format will be accepted.
Paper size: A4 (8.27 x 11.69 in).
A Camera-Ready Paper Template in PDF and MS-Word can be downloaded. Authors should use either of these tempates as a guide in the production of their Camera-Ready Paper in PDF format.

IEEE Xplore Compliance
The camera ready copy file must be an IEEE Xplore compliant PDF file. Please make sure that your PDF file passes the IEEE PDF eXpress compliance check. This is an IEEE requirement for the publication of the proceedings. All accepted papers to be presented at IEEE ICET2017 will be included in IEEE Xplore.

If you have used IEEE PDF eXpress before please login using “-------(given later)” as the conference ID and your login details. If you are a new user, please click the “new user” link to create an account. Follow the provided instructions to check your PDF file.

After you have prepared your camera ready IEEE Xplore compliant paper, please resubmit your paper through our online submission system.

IEEE Copyright Form
Every paper must have an associated copyright form before the paper can be published. You may download the form from here. Sign and either scan and email the completed form to icet2017@cust.edu.pk or mail it by post to the address mentioned on registration page.

Submission
Authors of the accepted papers are advised to use their Corresponding Author Accounts in order to submit their camera-ready copies electronically. Login Details for the Corresponding Author Account can be availed by clicking here using the email address used for paper submission. The paper must be submitted in PDF format, complying with the IEEE guidelines as discussed above. Papers’ length should not exceed 6 pages, including figures and references. All accepted papers will be checked for similarity index.

Tutorials, Exhibits and PhD Symposia:

ICET 2017 will also emphasize on enhancing the applications and industrial perspective of latest technologies. In this connection, tutorials and industrial exhibits covering major areas of the conference shall be arranged. Tutorials will be given by renowned experts of the domain and will be designed to give latest knowledge of the respective area to the audience. A dedicated PhD symposium will also be organized for the accepted PhD synopses.

To participate in Ph.D. symposium, please send your abstract (maximum 1000 words) and scanned copy of the synopsis acceptance notification to symp_icet2017@cust.edu.pk by September 15, 2017.

The conference will be held on the campus of Capital University of Science & Technology Islamabad.
