AUTHORITY TO AWARD DEGREES

It is the responsibility of the Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) to ensure that all degrees awarded by the Capital University of Science and Technology (CUST) are legally valid and fully compliant with the standards, requirements, and regulations prescribed by the relevant national regulatory and accreditation bodies, as amended or updated from time to time.

CUST has been established under an Act of Parliament, specifically Act No. XVI of 2015, and is thereby lawfully empowered by the Government of Pakistan to confer degrees at all academic levels across all recognized disciplines. In exercising this mandate, the University, through the QEC, ensures that all academic programs, assessment processes, and degree conferrals adhere strictly to statutory provisions, regulatory guidelines, and internationally recognized quality assurance standards, thereby guaranteeing the legal validity, credibility, and recognition of its academic awards.

PEC ACCREDITATION

CUST BS Engineering programs—Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, and Computer Engineering—are accredited by the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) at Level II, implying substantial equivalence to BS programs in Washington Accord signatory countries. This reflects CUST’s compliance with national regulatory bodies and commitment to quality education.

PCP ACCREDITATION

The following five-year undergraduate degree of CUST, known as Doctor of Pharmacy, is accredited by the Pharmacy Council of Pakistan

The Allied Health Professionals Council (AHPC) has authorized CUST to offer the MLT program under the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences.
